Guide to Coping tips of Lost items

Welcome to the guide for Lost item Process Flow

Please note that any item lost will be kept for 7 days at each institution (or immediately), then the unclaimed list item will be heading to
the Lost and Found Center of KNPA.

Lost112 will make great effort find your lost item as fast as possible.

Lost passport

If your passport has been lost, report it to the passport division accepted the report, and then it may be reissued by submitting a passport application form and two
photographs and one copy of resident registration. However, the report should be in person.

Lost Passports overseas

  • Visit the nearest police station to get a police report.
  • Visit the local Embassy(Korea consulate) to get the documents issued as follows.
  • Photos, a police report of lost passport, passport number, issuing date/month/year, travel certificate and immigration certificate (in case of no proof of entry, leaving the country may not be possible.) Travel is impossible with the travel certificate and leave the country as soon as possible.
  • If you are continue to travel travel, fill the next destination on travel stop box so that you can continue to travel.
  • When you continue to travel to the destinations specified field next destination to travel further.
  • Please check whether you may get an immigration STAMP prior to entry or departure at the airport to ensure the STAMP due to the lost passport.
  • For preparing emergency, make sure to bring extra photos, to write down the expiration date and number of your passport in a notebook and to copy the passport.

Notes on passports

  1. It is faster than Applying a passport in person is faster than by an agency so it is better to apply in person.
  2. Replacement will be stopped for six month in case of 1st lost and one year for more than 2nd times. Check out the passport validation as more than six months of
    remaining term will be required to some countries.
  3. Be cautious to tamper problem since the passport forgery case is frequently going to be.
